With the upcoming premiere of Rosie O'Donnell's variety show on the horizon, she's been getting tons of questions about her time on The View again. The LA Times reported Rosie told reporters,
"Barbara Walters wanted everyone to believe and think and act as if [the women on ‘The View’] get along and are really good friends and happy and hang out together, and, you know, that’s just not the reality. I’m not saying they loathe each other, but the fact of the matter is, there was not a lot of camaraderie off camera.”
Rosie left The View abruptly a few years ago after an on camera fight with Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who herself has been the subject of many "she's getting fired" rumors this year. Hassebeck's reps have confirmed she is not leaving The View.
Rosie also said, "arguing politics is not the best use of my talent", which is hard to get around during hot topics on The View as that's been the hottest topic there for awhile now. I, personally, love The View and Rosie, but they definitely didn't seem to be the best 'mix.'
Rosie's new variety show, Rosie Live, airs November 26, 2008 on NBC and we can't wait to see her back in her element.
