Melissa Etheridge appeared on The View today to promote her new Christmas album-she and Elisabeth Hasselbeck delved into a pretty deep discussion after Etheridge told her she was disappointed in remarks Hasselbeck had made about proposition 8. Melissa handled the situation very well as Elisabeth went into her defensive, talkative mode. The other ladies looked on.....finally Sherri Shephard interrupted and reminded everyone Melissa was there to sing and promote her album---
