In the March issue of O, The Oprah Winfrey Magazine, the star of Southland, REGINA KING, shares her best life thoughts on positive thinking, indulging and tradition:

Best BOOK I’VE READ RECENTLY

“I’m finishing Gregory Boyle’s Tattoos on the Heart: The Power of Boundless Compassion, about his experience as a Jesuit priest working with gangs in Los Angeles. It’s a book that celebrates humanity and what’s right with the world.”

Best DE-CLUTTERING STRATEGY

“If things start to pile up, I put them in a box, write the date, and tape it up. If I haven’t opened it in a year and a half, I donate the whole box. I don’t even sort through it first.”

Best INDULGENCE

“A bottle of California Cabernet and a good steak. And some sides—potatoes and sugar snap peas. Top it off with a slice of pecan pie and I’m happy.”

Best WAY TO CLEAR MENTAL COBWEBS

“Cardio ballet class! It moves so fast that there’s no time to think about anything else. My heart rate goes up, oxygen pumps to my brain, and by the end of the hour, I’m lying flat on the floor with my palms up, just staring at the ceiling.”

Best FORGOTTEN TRADITION

“My family blesses our food before we eat. Whatever god you pray to, or even if you don’t believe in a god, it’s nice to show that you’re grateful to the universe for sustaining you.”

In the March issue of O, The Oprah Magazine, Amy Poehler, the star of Parks and Recreation, opens up to O about goodbyes and lessons learned.

On always looking forward:

“I've always avoided goodbyes. I remember at the end of my senior year in high school, I wasn't at all interested in attending my graduation. I just kept thinking, ‘I need to get out of here! What's next?’ I didn't see the point in looking back.”

Fear of the end:

“Really, when I think about it, the end of any good thing can throw me into a funk. Even the conclusion of a book will put me in a bad mood. I'll get to the last 20 pages and think, ‘Ugh, this book stinks,’ even though I was actually loving it up until then.”

Aha! Moment:

“One day, as we were winding down on set, my costar Rashida Jones turned to me and said, ‘Wow. You seem really grouchy.’ I looked at Rashida, whom I adore, and started thinking about all the other great projects I'd worked on over the years and how every time one of them came to an end, I felt the same sense of frustration. I had never understood why I felt that way, and sometimes I didn't even notice that my attitude had shifted. But in that moment it dawned on me: In each of those scenarios, I was angry and anxious because I was scared about what I was leaving behind. Instead of facing changes, I always wanted to skip over them.”

Wise words:

“Then I remembered a book I had read five years earlier called When Things Fall Apart by the Buddhist monk Pema Chödrön. She explained that the only thing in life we can really count on is change—to be fully alive is to be repeatedly ‘thrown out of the nest.’ But if we really experience the end of something, that thing will never actually end. The good memories and relationships will stay with you.”

Fear overcame:
“After that day, I stopped trying to jump out of the car while it was still running. I had real goodbye conversations with my Parks and Recreation friends. I told them how much I appreciated them and how much I would miss them. And I tried to savor whatever time I had left with them on set.”

While Charlie Sheen hit the airwaves bad-mouthing his “Two And A Half Men” executive producer, Kacey Jordan, the most recent buxom blond to find herself in the middle of Sheen’s wild world, continues to one-up the actor’s outrageous statements, sharing very personal information about their time together.

In a RadarOnline interview this week, Jordan talked about a wild night on Sheen’s path to self-destruction, her alleged abortion, and a new gig with SugarSugar.com.

"I think it might have been too soon to be Charlie's baby, but you never know. I get pregnant very easily...we still haven't spoken to each other on the phone but we texted on Valentines day. I asked him if he was ok and he just asked the same back. I'm afraid if he is not working he will be home doing more drugs, so he needs to be back at work."

Now, Jordan is cashing in on a new gig while looking for a new man, as a spokesperson for Sugar Daddy dating website www.SugarSugar.com and after winning almost 30% of votes for the Mistress of the Millennium (So Far!) poll by the website’s users, Jordan set up a profile on SugarSugar.com: http://www.sugarsugar.com/Kacey_Jordan

Excited to have Ms. Jordan as part of their “sugar” family, SugarSugar CEO Paul Madison said,

“I heard you found gold in Charlie's mouth, and I know you'll find gold in the deep pockets of the sugar daddies on SugarSugar.com!”

Mary Murphy

So You Think You Can Dance judge, Mary Murphy reveals to Life & Style that she has beaten thyroid cancer.

On Feb. 17, Mary received the good news that she is in the clear. “I just wanted to kiss my doctor!” Mary exclusively tells Life & Style. “I definitely feel like there’s an angel on my shoulder. I feel like somebody’s looking out for me.”

Doctors discovered a tumor on Mary’s thyroid three years ago, but it wasn’t until Dec. 15, 2010 that the lively champion ballroom dancer underwent surgery to remove it.

“I’m very grateful because I’m so upset at myself that I didn’t go in earlier,” says Mary, 52, about being so consumed with SYTYCD that she wasn’t paying enough attention to the tumor. “They told me that the tumor had to come out and there’s a chance I might not be able to talk again. Outside of the word ‘cancer’, I really couldn’t imagine my life without hearing myself laugh.”

But the surgery was a success and now, nearly three months later, Mary is healthy, working on regaining her famous scream and — after leaving the show last season — returning to SYTYC, which resumes this summer on Fox. “I’ve always had a pretty good attitude, but now I don’t take things for granted as much,” Mary tells Life & Style. “I’ve had a major roller coaster of a life, for sure. But my roller coaster keeps going up and down. I just want to thank all my friends and family and my fans.”

Celebrity Apprentice doesn’t premiere until March 6, but things have already reached a boiling point for contestants NeNe Leakes and Star Jones. The two clashed while filming the show, but it turned vicious when NeNe slammed Star on The Wendy Williams Show on Feb. 8, saying, “I wouldn’t spit on Star if she was on fire.”

Now Star, who has refrained from any trash-talking, is responding to NeNe’s cold remark— speaking exclusively to Life & Style.

“I did Celebrity Apprentice to raise money and awareness for a charity [the American Heart Association] that has been instrumental in my life, not to see it reduced to a cliché where black women attack one another for publicity’s sake,” Star told Life & Style while at the NYC offices of Uptown magazine, where she is now editor-at-large. “I haven’t commented on any of her comments in hopes that she would remember that we all participated in this show for charity and not as a vehicle to promote ourselves and such hatred. I was clearly wrong and I decided to finally respond.”

Justin Bieber Posters: Never Say Never

Decorator guru and host of “The Nate Berkus Show” tells O Magazine what he’s come to understand about paring away the stuff that doesn’t enhance your life, embracing the stuff that does, and what it really takes to finally be at home in your home.

Finding home:
“For a long time, I was hell-bent on clutter-free living. I was a ruthless editor when it came to my possessions, to the point where my homes were very sparse, very minimal. Then I realized that’s not who I am. I wanted to be surrounded by things that moved me. I wanted to have tabletops piled with books and shells and candles. But it took me a while to let go of this very rigid idea I had of what my space should look like. Once I started letting stuff in, I really started making a home for myself.”

The House Whisperer:
“I find myself helping people in that situation a lot – after a divorce, after a death. They want to do something new. Sometimes they even want to be someone new, and changing their environment can be part of that process. It’s a way to shed your skin. It’s a way to move forward.”

The stuff Nate loves:
“I do [like beautiful things]. But even more than that, I like things that remind me of were I’ve been. Who I’ve loved. Who I love. And where I want to go.”

Nate’s philosophy:
“People first. Dogs second. Things last. It’s a simple philosophy.”

Jenny McCarthy: Back On the Market

Jenny McCarthy has broken up with her sports-agent boyfriend, Paul Krepelka, Life & Style has learned exclusively. “The long-distance thing proved too much for them, and they just mutually decided that it wasn't going to work,” a source close to Krepelka tells Life & Style. “He didn't want to move to LA, and she certainly can't move to Boston. They're still friends; they just couldn't make it work."

After first meeting on a blind date, Jenny, 38, made her relationship with Paul public when she locked lips with the 43-year-old entertainment-sports attorney on the 2011 New Year’s Rockin’ Eve TV special. The actress then gushed about her Boston beau on the Jan. 12 episode of Ellen DeGeneres’ daytime talk show, saying, “I'm really happy.”

In April 2010, Jenny and longtime boyfriend Jim Carrey split after five years together. While Jenny was the first to move on, with Paul, in December, Jim, 49, was recently spotted stepping out with Anchal Joseph, an aspiring model and a former America's Next Top Model contestant.

EW can is now revealing a segment of the Super Bowl night Glee episode--- the opening Cheerios dance number set to Katy Perry’s “California Gurls.”

It’s a veritable boob-a-palooza with more bikinis than an episode of Jersey Shore, produced to keep eyes glued to the screen even after the big football game is done. “I think our opening number is going to retain a lot of male viewers,” says co-creator/executive producer Ian Brennan.

The Glee team knew that they would need to lure in the football audience and adjusted the episode to reflect those potential new eyes.
“we put stuff in there understanding that there are a lot of dudes who watch the Super Bowl,” says co-creator/executive producer Brad Falchuk. “It was making sure that the dudes who refuse to watch Glee are like ‘Wait a second!’”. Watch all the pyrotechnic glory in the clip below…
